Computing and Library Policies:
- Saving Your Work
- avoid losing your work - save email attachments immediately upon opening
- use File -- Save As... to save your email attachments
- save to My Documents or your own disk
- always save important files to your own disks
- you may connect to your user drive and/or web disk from this computer to save files
- files saved in My Documents will remain on this computer for 48 hours (see 'About this Directory.rtf' in My Documents folder)
- files saved anywhere else (e.g. desktop) will be deleted at the end of the day
- the library is not responsible for lost or damaged files
- Cell Phones
- please keep your conversations private - use cell phones in lobbies and stairwells
- Food and Drink - Please:
- use spill proof containers
- report spills to library staff
- dispose of trash in trash cans
- Attaching Personally Owned Devices to This Computer
- you may attach your own devices to this computer
- software installation is prohibited
- modifying or disconnecting library equipment is prohibited
- this monitor has USB ports built into the left side of the frame
- USB extension cable and stereo cable are also provided; you provide your own headphones
- Printing
- retrieve your print jobs from any of the Print Release Stations located on the first, second, and third floors
- color printing is available with assistance from the staff in the Student Computing Services (SCS) on the first floor
- for color printing save your work on your flash drive, user disk, or email to yourself and retrieve at the SCS
- Software Support
- OTS HelpCenter provides applications support during help center hours - see the list of supported applications here
- library staff may be able to provide limited support for Microsoft Office applications
- all other applications are without support, use at your own risk
- the library is not responsible for lost or damaged files
