University Archives: 410-704-2398

The Towson University Archives contains materials pertaining to every aspect of the history of the University from 1866 to the present. The Archives serves as the repository for the non-current official University records as well as including records pertaining to student organizations, alumni activities, and university publications. In addition, the Archives houses a large collection of photographs and other memorabilia.

Who May Use The Archives?

One of the major goals of the University Archives is to make available and encourage the use of its collections for research. Consequently, most records in the Archives are open and available for use by faculty, students, alumni and the general public. The materials are non-circulating and must be used in the Archives reading room.

Location And Contact Information

University Archives is located on the 5th floor of the Albert S. Cook Library in the Towson Room (Room 507). Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. In order to provide the best possible service, it is recommended that an appointment be made with the University Archivist in order to use the facilities.
