To check for a SWOT Analysis for your company or a competitor, first search for your company by name.
Then, under Refine your Results (left side of screen), under Source Types, click "Show More."
Choose the link to SWOT Analyses, if available.
Searchable database of corporate filings (including 10-Ks and Annual Reports) submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Covers 1994 to the present.
Brief information on approximately 1.6M U.S. and Canadian public and private businesses with sales greater than $9 million or 180 or more total employees. Search by criteria such as SIC code, revenue, employee size, location, etc.
15 years of financials for public companies. Brief company information. Allows you to create custom lists according to your criteria as well as comparison reports.

Industry Codes: Tools for Industry Research
The newer system (c. 1997) of industrial codes, developed for U.S., Canadian, and Mexican industries.
Full NAICS code = 5-6 digits
The SIC system of classification for U.S. industries dates back to the 1930s. For government use, it was superseded by NAICS. However, many business sources are still arranged by SIC code!
A full SIC code is 4 digits.
Note: Some sources (e.g., Million Dollar Database) use proprietary “enhanced” (longer) SICs.
Industry Information
First search for your industry by name (or, on the Advanced Search screen, by NAICS code).
On the left side of the screen: Under Refine Results > Source Types > select Show More. Select Industry Profiles, if available.

You can use WorldCat TU to find a lot of different types of resources, but it is best for finding books. After searching, be sure to use the filters on the left side to refine your search.

Citation Searching & Publishing
Delve into the literature on your topic through citation searching with this multidisciplinary scholarly database. Journal analytics also available.
Identify appropriate venues for your research with the Business and Education Set. The Business Set includes Accounting; Economics and Finance; and Management and Marketing, and is funded by the Towson University College of Business and Economics. The Educational Set includes Directories of Educational Curriculum and Methods and Education Psychology and Administration, and is funded by the Towson University College of Education. In both sets, you may search by topic, review method and acceptance rate, and may use this resource to evaluate publication records.
