· Best Information on the Net for English Majors - Browse current topics in English literature, writing,language and folklore.
· Camelot Project - A searchable "database of Arthurian texts, images, bibliographies, and basic information" sponsored by the University of Rochester.
· Electronic Text Center - Established at the University of Virginia Library, this site provides thousands of online texts of English language resources.
· Hamletworks - Hamletworks.org is still a work in progress...but the Hamlet Works website already brings together an important body of information about Shakespeare's play that will be of interest to causual student
· Literary Criticism - The Internet Public Library Literary Criticism Collection contains critical and biographical websites about authors and their works arranged by author, title, nationality and literary period.
· Literary Resources on the Net - "...collection of links to sites on the Internet dealing especially with English and American literature..."
· Online Catalog (Library of Congress) - Catalog to the Library of Congress' collection, containing millions of items dating to the colonial period.
· Online Medieval & Classical Library - "...collection [full text] of the most important literary works of Classical and Medieval civilization."
· Outline of American Literature - Survey of American literature from pre-colonial days through the prose and poetry of the last 50 years.
· Pathfinder: Literary Criticism - A guide written by IPL staff intended to help you get started doing research on a particular topic, both online and at your local library.
· Voice of the Shuttle - "...links to humanities and humanities-related resources on the Internet", including English literature, literary theory and writing.
· Walt Whitman Archive - "An electronic research and teaching tool that sets out to make Whitman's vast work easily and conveniently accessible to scholars, students, and general readers." Includes complete digital copies of the six American editions of Leaves of Grass published in Whitman's lifetime, as well as links to Whitman manuscripts, notebooks, essays, letters, and journalistic articles.
