Gathering Your Sources

Research is a very time consuming process, and students often underestimate the time needed to complete a project. One of the most time consuming parts of research is the physical gathering together of all the information you need.

Always start early!  Begin by gathering materials available in Cook Library. This includes books and journal articles in paper or online. Be sure to allow time for photocopying and/or printing your information. Materials may also be available from other libraries. You can use Cook Library's Interlibrary Loan service or, in some cases, borrow these materials directly.

Remember - allow extra time to get these materials!
