Cook Library by the Numbers

subpagepic It has been a busy year for Cook Library! This article includes a snapshot of the resources and services that Cook Library has provided during the last fiscal year and how these resources have benefitted the Towson community.

7,025,574 Database and service queries at Cook Library
1,359,434 Number of full-text downloads from library databases
667,877 Volumes held by Cook Library as of September 2011
62,014 Resources circulated to students, faculty, and staff
44,913 Serials available for use at Cook Library
7,030 Items borrowed from Cook Library by other institutions
5,870 Items lent through Cook Library from other institutions
3,457 Scholars served via online reference sessions with librarians
$13,594,340 If the library did not subscribe to databases and users had to pay $10 apiece for full-text downloads, this is the amount the library would have saved the Towson University community from spending to access articles and other resources
