Your Cook Library staff development team is working hard to identify quality relevant trainings and workshops. Event information for the rest of 2007 will be posted here as it is developed.
The SDC is offering an opportunity to get up to speed with Maryland Libraries Learning 2.0 using the “23 Things”. Paul will facilitate a four session, hands on, learning opportunity using the “23 Things” to create your own blog, learn about Flickr, RSS feeds, tagging, Wiki’s and much more! The sessions will run every other month, with our first session beginning next Friday, October 19th from 1-3 in Cook 526. http://marylandlibrarieslearning2.blogspot.com

MP3, Ipod, Zune, podcast, burning, ripping... sound like a foreign language? Learn how to find, download and use mp3's and podcasts with or without a mp3 player.
This bootcamp will use an Ipod shuffle and a Creative Zen Nano Plus mp3 player.
Today's topics include presentations from the ACRL, Computers in Libraries and MLA conferences.
Feeling stressed? Today, Christine Woods from the Towson University Health and Wellness Centers will give us tips and tools to reduce stress and feel more energized. Run, don't walk to this one!
Take a trip to the Walter's Art Museum Library. Tour the library, then be sure to check out the musuem. Dine at the Walter's Cafe ( lunch on your own) or bring your lunch.
